Senior Online Community Manager

As a Senior Online Community Manager, you will play a supervisory role in managing online communities across multiple accounts. You will guide community managers, oversee engagement activities, and ensure that all interactions are consistent with brand standards and business objectives. In this role, you will also monitor performance, identify trends or risks, and support the team in maintaining positive, active, and well-structured communities.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee long-term social media and community strategies aligned with client objectives.
- Monitor engagement activities, ensuring timely responses and a positive community environment.
- Create and review reports, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights.
- Build and maintain knowledge bases (FAQs, moderation playbooks, escalation procedures).
- Identify risks and opportunities in user-generated content and ensure timely reporting.
- Ensure effective use of social listening tools to track sentiment, trends, and community health.
- Oversee monthly reporting on community management for key accounts and support junior team members in execution.
- Enforce social media guidelines across platforms to maintain consistency.
- Develop competitor analysis reports to identify insights and areas for improvement
- Schedule, and manage monthly social media content calendars.
Must Have
- 5+ years of experience in community or social media management
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and oversee large-scale operations.
- Experience with social listening, analytics, and community management tools.
- Excellent organisational and analytical abilities.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with SEO, web traffic metrics, and digital marketing fundamentals.
- Experience developing SOPs and guidelines for community operations.
- Knowledge of social media trends, tools, and technologies.
- Experience training and mentoring junior team members.
