Regional Finance Director

As the Regional Finance Director at AWstreams, you will act as the core strategic financial leader driving our agency's sustainable growth, profitability, and operational efficiency across all branches, Egypt, UAE, KSA, and the US.
Your primary purpose is to oversee all regional financial operations, from cash flow management and forecasting to pricing strategies and financial reporting.
You will partner directly with the executive leadership team to ensure our creative and performance ambitions are backed by solid financial planning, maximizing margins and financial health across all client accounts, media channels, and regional agency departments.
Responsibilities
- Execute and oversee the financial valuation for all of the company's regional branches to ensure accurate asset and business assessments.
- Manage comprehensive budgeting processes across all regional offices, departments, and project portfolios.
- Oversee accurate financial posting and general ledger management, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded and reconciled.
- Lead the agency’s financial forecasting and long-term strategic financial planning to support AWstreams' regional growth objectives.
- Monitor and analyze agency profitability by client, project, and department to optimize pricing models, retainer agreements, and hourly billing rates.
- Oversee cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and working capital to ensure optimal liquidity, particularly regarding media spend and client invoicing.
- Deliver accurate financial statements, board reports, and tax filings while ensuring full compliance with local financial regulations and corporate governance.
- Develop and refine financial systems, internal controls, and procurement processes tailored to the fast-paced nature of a digital agency.
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to the CEO and board, identifying financial risks, regional expansion opportunities, and cost-optimization initiatives.
Must Have
- A minimum of 15+ years of overall financial experience, including at least 5 years of financial leadership experience strictly within a marketing, advertising, media, or creative agency environment.
- Mandatory experience managing corporate finances within the Gulf region, specifically focusing on the KSA and UAE markets within the marketing industry.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration is required, accompanied by an active professional certification (CPA, CMA, ACCA, DipIFRS, or equivalent).
- Deep agency-specific financial acumen regarding billable utilization, blended rates, project margins, and media billing reconciliation.
- Exceptional ability to translate complex financial data into actionable, easy-to-understand business strategies for non-financial department heads.
- A proven track record of managing financial scaling, risk mitigation, and operational efficiencies.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency in implementing and managing modern ERP systems like Odoo, SAP, or Oracle.
- Prior experience navigating mergers and acquisitions or scaling an agency for international acquisition or investment.
- Advanced knowledge of regional tax laws, employment laws, and cross-border financial compliance.
